This ‘little Christmas show’ first commissioned by Pleasance London has now had 3 sold out runs, including a 2 week international transfer to The Egyptian Theatre in Park City, Utah - the town the infamous ski crash took place.

I co-created the show with Linus and Joseph - the comic geniuses behind Gwyneth Goes Skiing, Diana : The Untold and Untrue Story and Cats: How To Live A Jellicle Life. I also stage managed the show for its London and US runs.

Gwyneth Goes Skiing is heading to Pleasance again for Edinburgh Fringe 2024, before embarking on a UK tour. Prepare to be gooped!

The Land of Lost Content is an important piece of theatre: tender and unapologetic, funny yet deeply moving. It gives a voice to people that are often outside of mainstream media, addressing complex but resonant themes of teenage friendship, mental health, and platonic and romantic love.”

Stage Manager

Soho Theatre, Main House

September 2023

Written & Performed by Adrian Bliss

Tiktok star Adrian Bliss wrote and performed in his first live theatre show.

I was fortunate enough to be asked to be on board for this hilarious journey through some of history‘s greatest moments. Adrian created the show with collaborator and producer Jacob Dixon, with input from me to translate the comic genius we all know from the videos to the stage.

We had a sell out Edinburgh Fringe run followed by another sell out run at Soho Theatre. Adrian has since taken the show to Australia.

UK Tours ‘22 & ‘23

Written by Rae Bell | Directed by Maya Shimmin

I was brought on board for the early stages of development and rehearsal for ‘Identities’ - the funny, empowering and emotional tale of 2 tits, raising awareness of breast cancer.

Alongside stage managing the show, I helped Rae and Maya build the team, assisting in the audition and recruitment process for the creative team. I helped create content during the collaborative rehearsal process.

I was with the show for its 2 successful UK tours. It now travels to Edinburgh for the Fringe 2024.

"Lauren is a diligent and rigorous collaborator, and an exciting artist in her own right. She's also a bloody good laugh and a joy to have in the rehearsal room." - Dan Hutton - Director

"With Lauren running the room, as an actor I would arrive everyday feeling calm and ready to give 110% because I know the space will always be organised, energised and most importantly safe. Generally a grounded wonderful energy to be around in, and just as importantly out of work environments." - Bobby Wilkinson - Actor

"Lauren is such a kind, beautiful and thoughtful soul as well as creator. I love her ability to know her worth and insert boundaries that not only benefit everyone on the team but herself which is very admirable. I wish I could tour with her forever and ever but that's slightly unhealthy" - Kudzai Mangombe - Actor

“The perfect combo of warm, friendly, sharp and professional. She’s insightful and with a strong artistic POV, and she manages to balance that while being a true team player. It’s always apparent that she cares more about serving the project than her own ego. She is also a wizard when it comes to people management - she gets that different people work in different ways, and she adapts herself accordingly to each person she works with to bring about the most optimal outcome possible.” - Gigi Zahir (Crayola The Queen) - Actor

"One of the top three stage managers I've ever worked with" - Nic Connaughton - Head Of Theatre, Pleasance

"Lauren is everything you would want in a Stage Manager; calm, meticulously organised and a proactive problem-solver. Not only is she on top of everything, she is a pleasure to work with - a real people person.

She is simply excellent at her job. Don't hesitate to hire her."

- Naomi Alexander - Artistic Director & CEO , Brighton People's Theatre

Platform Theatre, London

November 2018

In a fusion of theatre and cinema, our experimental and ambitious production explored the life and work of Lee Miller: photographer, model and photojournalist.

Devised by a collective of 11 artists studying Performance: Design and Practice at Central Saint Martins, Retrospective used a purpose-built moving box with a screen, which switched from transparent to projected film, to transport an audience of four people through an immersive landscape of scenery, light and sound.

I co-wrote the script with Lucy Abraham, we both directed with Michelangelo Dousis and worked with an incredible group of designers and performers to create this form-transcending show.
